10-25-24 check - in, Changes afoot!

Thank you returning clients R and JB. Also I'm so happy for you JB in that you weren't flooded out from the last hurricane!

The temp is going down. I am so enjoying ANDERSONVILLE by McKinley Canter. Also making slow and steady progress with my music rehearsing.

Today had a 25 min. Pilates and weight work-out on roof. The sun was still warm!

Unfortunately I am seriously considering leaving my care taking job. My 91 year-old-client is becoming a bit toxic and I'm not good with toxic people. They give me stress (unless I'm beating up some guy in a massage session and he's loving it! LOL).

When I first begin taking care of Ms. M there was a learning curve but I was open. I have experienced the wisdom of the 91 year-old-mind. Also the fits and the tyranny. In the beginning it was chill and we got each other. Now, however she is deteriorating. There is an element of emotional abuse going on now (subtle though it is) likely due to her being in constant pain. I'm planning on staying through the new year if I can stand it, but then it's definitely time for this gig to be over.

I'm glad for the experience and thought I could stick it out until she died but that's not the case. Of course you've heard it before--aging is NOT for sissies.

Her son (and my co-worker) informed me today that the doctor shot her up with cortisone so she's been a bit less grumpy and more productive. Bathroom duties she handles well by herself.

I continue (for now) to not be available for massage bookings Sat 4-9, Sun 11-7 and Mon 4-10; otherwise schedule's open
